This achievement places FOCUS Hotmelt among the few chemical manufacturing facilities worldwide that meet such high sustainability standards.

The LEED Gold certification underscores FOCUS’s dedication to sustainable operations and innovative energy solutions. The facility integrates cutting-edge technologies and environmental design elements that significantly reduce its carbon footprint while enhancing operational efficiency.

Key sustainability highlights include:

Renewable Energy Integration: The on-site solar photovoltaic system generates approximately 1 million kW of power annually, reducing the facility’s reliance on external power sources and supporting sustainability efforts

Energy and Water Efficiency: The plant features a high-efficiency building insulation system, energy-efficient equipment, water-saving supply and sanitation systems, and LED lighting, ensuring optimal resource conservation.

Sustainable Commuting Support: To promote eco-friendly transportation, the facility provides showers and lockers for employees who bike to work, as well as electric vehicle charging stations for those who drive.
